The program consists of weekly training sessions and weekend opportunities, including matches, excursions, and professional development. Participants are empowered through leadership training, education activities and opportunities to become physically active in a supportive environment.

The program aims to foster positive relationships between people from diverse communities, promote social cohesion and harmony among youth and strengthen police engagement with the community by providing fun and structured sporting activities.

The ERCWA Soccer Programs began in 2012 with the launch of Edmund Rice Glory, which aimed to provide more structured, long term, high performance training to participants that were unable to access high level development opportunities. The soccer programs now operate at several locations and consist of weekly training sessions and extension opportunities, including matches and excursions, aiming to provide pathways into local clubs and development opportunities. In 2016, the Common Goal Soccer Academy launched as a joint initiative between Edmund Rice Centre WA, Western Australia Police Force, Football West, local governments, and local mosques.

The program aims to foster positive relationships between people from diverse communities, promote social cohesion and harmony among youth and strengthen police engagement with the community by providing fun and structured sporting activities. Participants are empowered through leadership training, education activities and opportunities to become physically active in a supportive environment. Our soccer programs target young people from multicultural and Indigenous backgrounds, as well as youth at risk, but are open to all.
