Our Management Team
Amy Berson – General Manager
An experienced manager with international and domestic experience, Amy’s role is to oversee and implement the governance and strategic direction of the organisation. Commencing as General Manager in 2021, Amy had previous experience working at Edmund Rice Centre WA in our youth programs and also serving on the Board for five years.
Abdikarin Abdi – Community Services Manager
Abdi manages the community services programs, including settlement casework, driver education program, Language for Living in Australia, computer studies, women’s programs and the Multicultural Community Centres. With an extensive background working in migration support programs Abdi joined us in 2023 as our Community Services Manager.
Julie-Ann Gray – Acting Youth Services Manager
Julie’s role is to manage our youth programs which include creative arts, leadership, advocacy and sports. A management professional with over 20 years of leadership experience, Julie has worked across education, government and the Not for Profit sector. Julie is acting in this role while our Youth Services Manager is on maternity leave.
Kasamba Mumba – Finance Manager
Kasamba is responsible for managing our finances, payroll, payments, asset management, insurance, acquittals and audit requirements, along with implementing our financial strategy. Appointed in 2024, Kasamba has a diverse career background across multiple industries and brings significant financial expertise to our not-for-profit organisation.
Florence Tressler – HR/Office Manager
Florence coordinates HR support for our staff and volunteers, manages our office and supports our General Manager with a range of activities. She has extensive experience in the Not for Profit sector and has worked with a number of agencies supporting culturally and linguistically diverse communities since 2009.
Christina Ward – Stakeholder Engagement/Grants Coordinator
Known in many of our communities as “Mama Chris”, Christina is responsible for our stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and donor relations, as well as coordinating our communications and grant applications. Christina has worked at ERCWA since 2007 in a variety of roles before moving to her current role in 2023.
Our Youth Services Team
Our popular youth programs are designed and run by our passionate and experienced Youth Coordinators. They each create a safe and engaging environment to encourage you to participate in a range of activities including sports, arts and leadership. They also coordinate events and excursions, as well as helping you to access a range of other opportunities run by other service providers in your local area.
Our Administration Team
Our wonderful administration team are the engine room of Edmund Rice Centre WA. They provide support to the other teams and keep everything ticking over smoothly. Often, they are the first people you speak to when you get in touch or come in to our office to have a chat. They can answer questions on anything and everything!
Our Community Services Team
Our community services team are the experts on the range of community programs that we provide which help to create connection and a sense of belonging. These programs also cover a range of community eduction opportunities so you can add to or improve your skills and knowledge. These include driver’s education, computer classes and English classes
